PositionThis position is with an environmental-community development non-profit foundation focused on forestry with local Indonesian field operations and an international fund raising market. The organization is growing quickly and presents an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to grow and develop with the foundation.Reporting to the Program Director, the Program Manager will be responsible for the operational success of the program by ensuring strong team management and development, program execution, quality control and evaluation. In this role, the Program Manager will manage a staff of 30 and up to 150 seasonal field workers. The Program Manager will be the external face of the organization in the community and with our supporters.ResponsibilitiesLeadership:

• Strengthen existing relationships and developing new relationships with stakeholders and supporters with the goal of growing the program, and improving the services.
• Manage projects directly as needed and assign and supervise staff in the management of projects.

Team Management and Development:

• Develop and implement a system to evaluate the skill, experience, and professional development needs of all staff
• Work with staff to develop objective performance measurements across all activities, to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation and goal setting for all employees
• Instill a sense of accountability among team members by modeling tight oversight of individual and organization performance standards
• Recruit, hire, and oversee training and orientation of all staff members

Program Operational Management:

• Use a balanced score card and develop a program dashboard; establish consistent, objective program performance standards

QualificationsThis is good opportunity for an individual with team management experience to grow and develop a proven program. The successful candidate will lead programs together with the Program Director and work with the staff in a team leader role.Specific requirements include:

• Minimum of a BA, MA preferred
• At least 10 years of experience with three years in a team management role
• Demonstrated experience in developing and evaluating program models
• Experience in using technology as a management reporting tool and working with information technology staff to develop and implement programs
• Strong project management skills managing complex projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth
• Strength in hiring, recruiting, managing, developing, and retaining individuals and teams, empowering them to elevate their levels of responsibility and performance
• Understanding of human resources, employee performance improvement plans, and corrective action policies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Indonesian with good attention to details
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for the mission

Trees4Trees™ is an activity of Yayasan Bumi Hijau Lestari, a non-profit foundation, established in Indonesia to empower local communities through partnership reforestation initiatives and related education programs.The Foundation works with local partners to produce tree seedlings of high value species, which are distributed to local land owners free of charge. These local people are granted ownership with their commitment to plant and care for the trees. The communities also benefit from the technical guidance provided by the program on planting, good forestry practices and education on the economic benefits of a healthy environment.
