Major Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will:

1. Managing database infrastructure to meet performance, security, high availability and other requirements, and take proactive measures with solutions in data mining and analysis.
2. Managing, monitoring and ensuring ERP and database system are functioning smoothly.
3. Building a strong data and analytic competency to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
4. Defining system backup and recovery profiles for applications in alignment with business requirements and ensuring system backup and recovery process are in place.
5. Troubleshooting database related issues.
6. Providing detailed documentation for ERP software and other application software.
7. Coordinating and assisting users in ERP software and other application software.
8. Conducting relevant IT training, knowledge transfer to users, subordinates and colleagues.
9. Liaising with software consultant for any problems encountered by the users and assisting in any modification for the programs developed by them.
10. Other responsibilities as assigned by superior.

 Qualifications and Skills Required The ideal candidate will have:

• Possess at least Diploma in IT or Computer Science or equivalent, with at least 3 years related working experience, preferably in manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in using Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Experienced with development using Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Knowledge in Crystal Report, HTML, VBScript and JavaScript.
• Knowledge in ERP Software.
• Knowledge in AS400/ Windows Server/ SQL Server.
• Good time management, project management, planning, analytical, trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, good collaboration skills and attitudes.
• Willing to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good multi-tasking skills and able to anticipate numerous assignments simultaneously while maintaining a positive work attitude.
• Strong people management and communication skill, able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees in the organization.
• Positive thinking and able to work under pressure.
• Willing to work in Alor Gajah, Melaka.
• Willing to travel and possession of own transport is preferred.
